OUR HISTORY

Founded by Cenovus Energy in 2017, the Regional Oil Sands Operating Alliance (ROA) united a group of oil sands producers. The objective of the Alliance was to develop collaborative business practices to improve the competitiveness and long-term sustainability of the Alberta oil sands. The group worked together to identify opportunities which would not be available working alone, focusing on eliminating waste and reducing unnecessary costs while improving efficiency and safety within the industry.
